A note to our visitors: There is no longer a detour to get to World Bird Sanctuary, however, smart phone GPS units have not yet been updated to the new road changes to get to our site from the intersections of 141 and 44. The WAZE app is the only one that we know of that will bring you correctly in through all the new road/exit changes.
Please also note We will be closed the third Tuesday of every month for routine maintenance.

Celebrate a 'BirdDay' with a party at World Bird Sanctuary
World Bird Sanctuary "BirdDay" Parties offer a fun, unique way to celebrate a birthday. Suitable for birthday stars of all ages and supporters of the mission of World Bird Sanctuary, the party includes a live animal encounter, 'birdday' cake, beverages and a special gift for the 'birdday' star.
In partnership with Missouri Department of Conservation and Ameren Missouri, World Bird Sanctuary is pleased to bring you a live video camera on a peregrine falcon nest box. Watch a pair of peregrine falcons as they nest and hatch their chicks with our live video feed. During our falcon season, the video runs from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. (CST) each day.

Monday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed at noon on Christmas Eve. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas days. Admission and parking are FREE!
Absolutely no dogs allowed. Please abide by this rule for the safety of our birds, who cannot tell that a dog on a leash is not a threat to them. They react to the perceived threat by flying into the sides of their cages, hurting themselves.
