Laumeier’s surroundings are ever-changing, presenting us the opportunity to see sculptures differently each day. Colors change depending on time, location and weather. Think about color in a new way during October’s Free Family Day: Sculpture in Spectrum.
Work alongside our 2018 Fall Visiting Artist, Andrea Coates, on projects and activities that explore color’s ability to change right before our eyes through different mediums including thermal paint, light, and more. Afterwards, head outside to see our new outdoor neon installation by 2018 Kranzberg Exhibition Series Artist, David Hutson.
Mark your calendars now for this fun-for-the-whole family free event exploring art and nature at Laumeier! This event is for all ages, click here for more information.
Laumeier Sculpture Park is a living laboratory where artists and audiences explore the relationship between contemporary art and the natural environment. Laumeier presents 60 works of large-scale outdoor sculpture in a 105-acre park available free to the public year-round, and serves 300,000 patrons annually through temporary exhibitions, education programs, public events and sculpture conservation.
