Painting pottery
Paint-your-own pottery studios are found all over St. Louis. The concept is to pick out a piece of pottery, paint it and then leave it at the studio to be glazed and fired. Pick a piece for yourself, or just watch as your children have fun picking out colors and bringing their visions to life. Establish a spending limit with your child in advance to avoid meltdowns near the breakable pottery; it can be like a treasure hunt to find that perfect piece to paint that’s within your set budget. Also, make sure children understand that the piece will not be leaving with them that day.
