Third Degree Glass Factory Opens Chesterfield Store

DEC. 5, 2010 -- Contemporary glass art, created by local artists, is sparkling in Chesterfield Mall at Third Degree Glass, a new gallery store that opened Nov. 22. The Third Degree Glass gallery will showcase local Third Degree Glass Factory artists and their creations.
"Beautiful contemporary glass art is being crafted right here in St Louis. We want to make it easy for people who love glass to have it in their homes, offices, or give it as gifts," said Doug Auer, Third Degree Glass Factory co-founder. "It's a great opportunity for us to show what we're doing at our studio location on Delmar."
The gallery offers a variety of glass gift items, including hand-blown glass ornaments, bowls, stemware and glasses, plates, jewelry, and objects d'art. Shoppers and glass enthusiasts will find the gallery by Dillard's, on the first level between ExpressMEN and I Don't Want To Kiss A Llama stores. The gallery is open Wednesday through Saturaday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 12-4 p.m.
Third Degree Glass Factory, St. Louis' only public-access glass art education center, makes glassblowing available for all artistic levels, from beginners to established artists. Third Degree classes, studio rental, gallery, events and private group demonstrations introduce the community to the allure of contemporary glass and the mysterious process of creating it.
