NOV. 13, 2010 -- The evening was heated last Wednesday night as seven St. Louis Sprout & About readers and their guests attended the first Sprout Night Out at Third Degree Glass Factory.

Girlfriends, mothers and daughters, and husbands and wives joined the Sprout staff for a glassblowing demonstration, jewelry-making and discussions to shape the future of St. Louis Sprout.

The evening started with a demonstration by Third Degree Glass Factory artists. Guests "ohhed" and "ahhed" as a team of glassblowers turned a glob of fiery hot glass into a beautiful vase. With a new appreciation for glass and glass artwork, Sprout Night Out guests had the opportunity to design their own glass pendant.

Finally, Sprout Night Out guests shared their feedback about the website with focus group moderater Jeffrey Konkel.

"Our readers' honest comments about St. Louis Sprout & About are invaluable," said Beckie Maislin, Sprout & About Founder and CEO. "This feedback has certainly stoked our fires and will lead to lots of exciting changes and improvements at St. Louis Sprout. I can't thank our guests enough for spending a fun evening with us."
