NOV. 19, 2010 -- Frustrating is how Sprout writer Shannon Moore described the newest Harry Potter movie in theaters today.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," the seventh and final adventure in the Harry Potter film series, is a motion picture event, told in two full-length parts.

Part 1 begins as Harry, Ron and Hermione set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the Horcruxes--the keys to Voldemort's immortality. On their own, without the guidance or protection of their professors, the three friends must now rely on one another more than ever. But there are Dark Forces in their midst that threaten to tear them apart.

"The movie ends at a pivotal part in the story because it is only Part I of the book 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,'" Moore said. She was frustrated about having to wait until Part 2 comes out to see the ending.

The movie also has more violence, gore and sex than previous Harry Potter films, she said. "Ron sees a vision of a silver-fleshed, naked Harry and Hermione starting to make love," she said. "Presumably, the movies are getting progressively more adult in tone because the characters are practically adults in this novel."

"I like these movies a lot, but as a parent, I would preview the film before letting younger kids go see it," Moore said.
