MOSAICS Missouri Festival for the Arts Returns to St. Charles Sept. 16-18

SEPT. 7, 2011 -- Artists will be gathering in St. Charles Sept. 16-18 for the MOSAICS Missouri Festival for the Arts.
The event features more than 110 juried and invited artists, exhibiting, discussing and selling their artwork. The event also includes the Art for Youth Gallery and the Mentor Me Exhibition. Art for Youth Gallery gives visitors under age 18 the opportunity to purchase original art for a nominal amount, with proceeds benefiting arts education in St. Charles. The Mentor Me Exhibition at the Foundry Art Centre displays pieces from both students and their teachers. Children are invited to visit the Children's Village to create their own work of art.
Throughout the weekend, various entertainers will take the stage, including the Lewis and Clark Fife and Drum Corps, Mark Biehl Acuity Soundworks, Blanchette Trio, The Original Boneheads and The Poor People of Paris. A special children's stage will feature Circus Kaput's magic, circus and juggling shows; and Frilly and Miller from "The Frilly and Miller Show."
Visit the Sprout calendar for more information about MOSAICS or visit the event website.
