"Just-in Time" Event Benefits Injured Marine

AUG. 31, 2011 -- The Museum of Transportation is hosting a family-friendly community event to raise funds for Justin McLoud, a Marine who lost both legs and an arm while serving in Afghanistan last year. The free event features games, military vehicles, raffles, face-painting and more on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
"Justin is part of our museum family," explained Terri McEachern, executive director of the Museum of Transportation. "His father-in-law works at the museum. Justin and his wife, Amber, celebrated their marriage at the museum three years ago."
The museum will accept donations for McLoud during the event, or, donations can be mailed to the Justin McLoud Fund, c/o the Transport Museum Association, 2967 Barrett Station Road, Kirkwood, Mo., 63122.
