DEC. 16, 2011 -- The entire family can enjoy the Lego Games Extravaganza at the St. Louis County Library at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29.

The Lego Games Extravaganza is part of the year-long series of "Art @ Your Library" events. Participants will enjoy a variety of Lego-themed board games, including Lego Battleship and Lego Harry Potter. They'll also build a Lego race track and freestyle build with Lego blocks.

Lego Games Extravaganza will be held at the St. Louis County Library Headquarters, 1640 S. Lindbergh, St. Louis, Mo. Advanced registration is required by calling 314-994-3300 or visiting www.slcl.org. The program is recommended for children ages 8-12 and their families.

"Art @ Your Library" connects kids with creativity. The popular series is in its second year and features interactive programming around a different creative topic every other month: theater, creative writing, music and dance, film and digital media, and multi-dimensional art. "Art @ Your Library" is designed to stimulate children’s mental and physical growth with programs that feature music, movement and creative challenges.
