Heritage Museum and Centennial Trail Will Open Oct. 22
The St. Charles County Heritage Museum at Heritage Park will officially open following a ribbon cutting on Friday, Oct. 22.Located at 1630 Heritage Landing, the St. Charles County Heritage Museum celebrates the advancement and cultural contributions made by county residents throughout history. The site of this new park was a popular recreation center for residents more than a century ago named Kuhlman’s Grove and returns to its roots with this dedication. This is the ninth facility that St. Charles County Parks Department has opened to the public and the first located along the “Golden Triangle,” an area bounded by Route 94, Interstate 70 and U.S. Route 40/61.
The park will also serve as a trailhead for the Centennial Trail, a two-mile paved path between the Heritage Museum and the Katy Trail. The Centennial Trail, part of the Great Rivers Greenway, parrallels Hwy. 364 from Hwy. 94 to the Katy Trail along the Missouri River.
The department will host a public open house on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The new St. Charles County Heritage Museum is located at 1630 Heritage Landing, Harvester, Mo., 63303.
