Cinderella Project Returns to Area Malls

Jan. 12, 2012 -- The Metro St. Louis Cinderella Project is accepting formal dresses -- including bridesmaids dresses, prom dresses and other formal gowns -- to donate to high school girls who can't afford to attend prom otherwise.
Dresses, long or short, can be dropped off at customer service offices at Chesterfield Mall, Mid Rivers Mall, West County Center and South County Center. Several other donation centers are open; for a complete list visit the Cinderella Project website. Clean dresses on a hanger will be accepted through Tuesday, Feb. 28.
High school counselors will refer high school juniors and seniors to the Cinderella Boutique, which will be held at Mid Rivers Mall from March 1-9, 2012. There, girls can choose the perfect gown for their occassion.
On Saturday, March 10, anyone may shop at the Cinderella Boutique, and each gown will cost $25. All proceeds will benefit the Community Council of St. Charles County for programs focused on fragile families.
