SEPT. 8, 2011 -- Award-winning author and illustrator Peter Brown will visit the Corporate Parkway Branch of the St. Charles City-County Library District at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14.

Brown will be sharing his latest book "You Will Be My Friend!" The new title is a companion to "Children Make Terrible Pets," a New York Times Best Illustrated Award winner and the E.B. White Read Aloud Award winner for picture books. During his visit, Brown will draw, talk about his books, and share what it's like to grow up and be an artist.

Books will be sold by Main Street Books and autographed by Peter Brown. The publisher, Little Brown Books for Young Readers, will give friendship bracelets to all who attend while supplies last.

The library recommends this program for children in kindergarten through third grade. Families are welcome. The Corporate Parkway Branch is located at 1200 Corporate Parkway, Wentzville, Mo., 63385.
