The World Bird Sanctuary in Valley Park presents Amazing Animal Encounters, a free, fun, family-friendly environmental education program each Saturday and Sunday through Labor Day. Naturalists use snakes, parrots, birds and mammals to teach families about the amazing creatures that share our planet, and what we can do to help them survive.

The encounters are on Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Sundays at 1:30 p.m.

The World Bird Sanctuary’s mission is to preserve the earth’s biological diversity and to secure the future of threatened bird species in their natural environments.  The World Bird Sanctuary works to fulfill this mission through education, propagation, field studies and rehabilitation.

The World Bird Sanctuary is one of North America’s largest facilities for the conservation of birds.
