The Joffrey Ballet flexes its muscles as one of the world's most illustrious dance companies in an edgy and passionate program by contemporary choreographers when Dance St. Louis and Wells Fargo Advisors bring the Joffrey to the Touhill Performing Arts Center. Joffrey Ballet will perform on Friday, March 9, at 8 p.m., and Saturday, March 10, at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The program includes two intensely sensual new works: the white-hot "Age of Innocence," created especially for the Joffrey by a brilliant new voice in American dance, Edwaard Liang, and "After the Rain," by British choreographer Christopher Wheeldon. The program also features a work that in the past quarter century has become a modern classic, the explosive "In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated," by American choreographer William Forsythe, who pushes ballet to its limits with rapid-fire virtuosity.

Dance St. Louis Artistic & Executive Director, Michael Uthoff, will host a free program, Speaking of Dance, in the Touhill's Terrace Lobby at 7:15 p.m. prior to the 8 p.m. performances and at 1:15 p.m. prior to the Saturday 2 p.m. performance. He will also host an informal post-performance conversation, Speak Easy, also in the Terrace Lobby, immediately after the shows.

Tickets range from $40 to $60 for Friday and Saturday evening. All seats are $40 for the Saturday matinee. Tickets are available at the Dance St. Louis box office at 3547 Olive St. in the Centene Center for Arts and Education in Grand Center, by calling 314-534-6622, or by visiting dancestlouis.org.

Due to its adult nature, these performances are recommended for teens and adults.

The harsh cold of the winter season always makes springtime seem that much more attractive. Sunnier skies, warmer temperatures and longer days can't come quickly enough!

Beginning in March, YMCA Trout Lodge offers themed weekends and great Spring Break getaways for families of all ages. Four Spring Break Theme weeks will be offered this year, including Luck of the Irish Week (March 16-22), March Madness Week (March 23-29), Shipwrecked Spring Break Week (March 30 – April 5) and Egg-cellent Easter Week (April 6-12).

A family of five can stay at Trout Lodge during Spring Break weeks for as little as $150/night! And better yet, these rates include more than just your accommodations. You'll also get three great meals each day served buffet-style in the Trout Lodge Dining Room, and more fun, family-focused games, programs and activities than you can imagine.

Speaking of activities, YMCA Trout Lodge prides itself on all of the fun, family-oriented activities and programs they offer. From arts and crafts to zip lines, horseback riding to mini-golf, there really is something for everyone (grown-ups included) when you take a getaway to Trout Lodge.

Don't miss evening campfires, geocaching, archery, scavenger hunts and nature hikes during your visit! Not sure those activities are enough to keep your family busy? Check out the full list of activities online.

YMCA Trout Lodge is located 75 miles from St. Louis between Potosi and Steelville, Missouri.
